Ah summertime....

This is the first time that I ever remember being excited for summer. I mean sure there used to be things that I was excited about during a summer, but this one, although it's getting full of stuff, I'm so excited about all of the time that we'll have with close friends in mini trips around the maritimes.

My first yay moment will be on Tuesday morning. I'm leaving Jason behind so that sucks, but my sister and I are headed on a plane to Tampa Florida. We'll be spending a few days in Florida with my dad and then we're going to drive back up to Canada in the motorhome, of course making some stops along the way. I think Washington DC is in the plan. I really want to go to the Holocaust museum. Anyways, we'll see what happens. It's going to be a quick trip because I'll only be gone for 8 days but it will be fun none the less. Don't worry my sister's camera isn't sitting in Canon's repair shop so I'll be posting pics when I get back.

Then two days after I get back Jason and I are off to Halifax for the weekend with some of our close friends to go see Daughtry (spelling?...dude from American Idol), Finger Eleven, Staind, Default and Nickelback on Canada Day at Citadel Hill. Mandi and I bought matching T-shirts for the event, let's hope she doesn't forget it :) Can't wait...it's going to be fun!

So this is my way of saying, do not expect any blogging until the first week of July. In the meantime I'll leave you with a quote to ponder: (I love this quote...yay fair trade!)

"The longings of your heart are not incidental;
they are critical messages.
The desires of your heart are not to be ignored,
they are to be consulted.
As the wind turns the weather vane,
so God used your passions to turn your life." (Max Lucado)

Who knew this chick that used to hang out with skinheads would be so passionate about Africa and helping others get the justice and freedom they deserve. Oh God I have only praise for you!!!!

Hey Pam,
Nice to hear from you! Glad your supper went well. Ya we're excited to hang out with him for sure. I haven't been to Florida to see him in 11 years so it should be a good time. It's weird it feels like I'm a teen again, going on a trip with Lindsay to see dad without Jason...strange. Hope all is well with you and thanks for the comment!
Oh- dad said that you sent me an email and I never responded? Well I never got it....are you using my gmail account?
