Crazy Constable Concerns

Under construction....

Wow I am really sucking out at this blogging thing and I apologize for that!

My house is a mess right now...well actually it's getting better. The last couple of days have been a bit crazy here. It was so worth it though. As many of you know I'm a bit of a control freak. Yes, it's something I'm working on in counselling, but it's taking a long time. Ah the rigid patterns of life. So it's been good for me to not be home and in control for the past couple of days. Anyways my father was complaining that he was bored and wasn't sure what he was going to do to put in the time over the next week while he's here. So I suggested that he could put ceramic tile in our bathrooms, more as a joke but he jumped at it so so did we.

It's something that Jason and I have wanted to do but put it on the back burner because we knew that we couldn't do it ourselves and knew that it would be too much to hire someone. However my wonderful father loves taking on these types of projects and learning as he goes. So early Sunday morning we headed off to Home Depot to buy all the supplies. By later that afternoon the tile was laid in the first bathroom. On Monday my dad's girlfriend did the grout in the first bathroom while my father laid the tile in the second bathroom. Then today they came and grouted the second bathroom. Jason and I have been at work those two days so I've been coming home to clean after. Trust me though I'm not complaining. It's the least that I could do for the cheap labour costs :) It was fun though getting home and running to see the bathrooms. I wish our camera would have been working to take pics of the different stages.

Anyways here are a couple of pics that my sister took from Sunday. We had my sister, my father and his girlfriend and my grandparents over for supper that evening as well. Jason was so excited to use his new BBQ (don't those burgers look delicious Mandi), he's been wanting one for four years now so it was very exciting that we were actually able to afford one and have a space for it now!

That is so nice of your dad. Makes a girl feel special and taken care of. Can't wait to do that in my house. We have ugly bathroom floors but it will come soon. Your grandparents took a sweet picture.

It is really nice of my dad. We were so excited. It will come soon, you're right. We've got so much to do still around here but one thing at a time. Otherwise you get too overwhelmed. My grandparents are really sweet...however he never smiles in pictures so that can be frustrating at times....

Thanks for the comment!
